Ultra-lightweight case with nano-ceramic surface

ASUS has opted for a CNC-machined chassis made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy. Nano-ceramic technology is used to give the surface a hardness of 9H, making it more resistant to scratches and wear.

Despite its metal casing, the ExpertBook Ultra weighs only 0,99 kg, according to ASUS. Its thinnest point is just 10,9 mm, placing it in the category of highly portable business devices. It is available in Morn Grey and Jet Fog.

For everyday work on the go, the device also features a 70 Wh battery. It charges via USB-C with a 90-watt power adapter. ASUS lists two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports (USB 3.2 Gen 2), HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 3,5 mm combo jack as the available ports.

Intel Core Ultra with up to 50 TOPS NPU performance

Inside, depending on the configuration, an Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor is at work. ASUS mentions variants with Intel Core Ultra X7 358H and Intel Core Ultra 7 356H, among others. The integrated Intel AI Boost NPU is said to achieve up to 50 TOPS and accelerate local AI tasks.

It also features up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. ASUS uses its ExpertCool Pro cooling system, which is designed to handle a continuous power consumption of up to 50 watts. This should ensure stable operation even under heavy load, without unnecessarily increasing noise levels.

Depending on the variant, either Intel Arc B390 or Intel Graphics are used for graphics. Wireless connectivity is provided via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth.

ASUS ExpertBook Ultra Lifestyle

3K tandem OLED with up to 1.400 nits

The 14-inch tandem OLED display has a resolution of 2.880 x 1.800 pixels in 16:10 format and, according to ASUS, achieves up to 600 nits in regular operation and up to 1.400 nits at the HDR peak.

The panel covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, is Pantone-validated, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certified. For protection, ASUS uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a matte Gorilla Glass surface designed to reduce reflections.

The display is complemented by an audio system with six speakers and Dolby Atmos. Input is provided via a backlit chiclet keyboard with a skin-friendly excimer coating and a haptic touchpad.

ASUS MyExpert aims to bundle AI functions

With ASUS MyExpert, the manufacturer integrates its own AI platform for productive work. The suite is designed to, among other things, summarize documents, translate and edit texts, answer PC-related questions, and search local and cloud-based files.

For meetings, MyExpert offers features such as automatic transcription, translation, summaries, and to-do lists. ASUS is clearly targeting businesses and hybrid work environments where many tasks need to be completed directly on the device or in secure cloud workflows.

Security features for businesses

When it comes to security, ASUS relies on ExpertGuardian. According to the manufacturer, the security architecture is based on NIST SP 800-193 and is designed to prevent firmware manipulation, detect attacks, and automatically restore trusted firmware states.

ASUS also mentions post-quantum cryptography in the firmware security layer, including ML-KEM according to FIPS 203 and ML-DSA according to FIPS 204. Also included are TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton, Secured-core PC support, Intel Boot Guard, Intel BIOS Guard, Windows Hello login via IR camera, and a fingerprint sensor.

The ExpertBook Ultra also meets the military standard MIL-STD-810H and, according to ASUS, has undergone 24 durability tests.
