With Antigravity, a new drone brand is entering the scene. Behind the project is none other than Insta360, which aims to shake up the drone market with fresh ideas and powerful camera technology.

Between classic camera drone and FPV

Antigravity claims to be pursuing a different approach than established brands. While traditional camera drones like the DJI Mini series are primarily designed for head-on aerial shots, and FPV drones require a high degree of control, Antigravity is intended to be somewhere in between. Drones are designed to be easy to operate without prior experience, yet simultaneously produce footage that can be flexibly edited later.

The brand's first drone combines a 360-degree camera with a resolution of up to 8K and a weight of less than 249 grams. This means the device falls under simplified legal regulations for recreational use in many countries.

Control without complex flight modes

According to the manufacturer, the drone can be operated without any preparation. There are no additional mounts, complex gimbal systems, or separate camera controls. The focus is primarily on the camera's capabilities, which capture excursions, trips, or personal moments.

Users should be able to freely choose their image section after taking the shot. The 360-degree recording allows for perspective adjustments in post-production.

Safety features as standard

In addition to simplified operation, Antigravity places great emphasis on safe use. The drone is equipped with several protective mechanisms, including sensors for distance measurement, automatic stabilization systems, and detection of unauthorized modifications.

The devices should be used exclusively for their intended purpose; the provider intends to prevent any misuse by taking appropriate precautions.

Community-based product development

Another component of the concept is user involvement in product development. Users can submit suggestions for features or products via the "Antigravity Hub" platform. The manufacturer plans to review submitted ideas and, if implemented, mark and reward them accordingly.

This means that further development should not be controlled exclusively internally, but should also be based on feedback from the community.

Market launch planned for August

The launch of the first antigravity drone is scheduled for August 2025. Information on pricing and equipment options is not yet available. Based on the technical specifications and market positioning, a price range of between €700 and €1200 is expected.
