Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 launches in Europe – 30-day battery life, offline maps and night vision mode

Published by Timo Altmeyer on February 19, 2026

With the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2, Amazfit is bringing its most rugged outdoor smartwatch to Europe. This new generation is clearly aimed at adventure enthusiasts, ultra runners, and mountaineers who don't want to forgo navigation, training tracking, and long battery life, even under extreme conditions. Compared to its predecessor, the watch offers significant technical improvements, especially in battery life, navigation, and outdoor features.

Up to 30 days of battery life

The T-Rex Ultra 2 is equipped with an 870 mAh battery (compared to 500 mAh in its predecessor), which Amazfit claims should provide a runtime of up to 30 days. Even under significantly more demanding conditions, such as with the always-on display activated, maximum GPS accuracy, and temperatures below freezing (down to minus 30 degrees Celsius), the manufacturer still specifies a runtime of up to 28 hours.

Compared to its predecessor, the overall weight has barely increased despite the larger battery. At around 89 grams including the strap, the watch remains almost on par with the T-Rex Ultra. This is made possible, among other things, by the use of titanium for the case back, bezel, and buttons. Despite its lightness, the watch is robust, featuring a 10 ATM water resistance rating and military certification.

AMOLED with 3.000 nits and pre-installed maps

The 1,5-inch AMOLED display (480 x 480 pixel resolution) is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass and achieves a maximum brightness of up to 3.000 nits. Even in direct sunlight at high altitudes, the watch should remain easily readable.

Another new feature is that global offline maps are pre-installed and don't need to be manually transferred. The desired region can be selected via the Zepp app, while additional elevation maps or ski slope maps can be downloaded free of charge.

Precise navigation and integrated flashlight

For positioning, the T-Rex Ultra 2 uses six satellite systems simultaneously, including GPS and Galileo, to ensure the fastest and most precise location tracking possible. It supports turn-by-turn navigation, color map views, and a POI search, allowing routes to be planned and followed directly on the watch without necessarily needing a smartphone connection.

Additionally, Amazfit integrates a dual-mode flashlight that provides 200 lux of white light, increasing to up to 300 lux in boost mode. A low-interference green light is also available, specifically designed for use with night vision devices, while an integrated SOS mode is intended to attract attention in emergency situations.

Over 170 sports modes and 64 GB of storage

In terms of athletic performance, the T-Rex Ultra 2 covers more than 170 training modes and, in addition to classic performance data, also records key figures on stress and recovery, which can be analyzed not only on a daily basis but also over weeks or months. Features such as BioCharge, HRV tracking, and VO2max are included.

In addition, the Zepp app offers more than 400 applications, including specialized running metrics with continuously updated ETA, functions for detecting potential overload, and an assistant for estimating the remaining battery life in the selected sport mode.

The internal storage has been increased to 64 GB, twice the size of the T-Rex 3 Pro, which should be particularly relevant for maps, music, or additional apps. The European version also supports NFC payments via Zepp Pay.
