ALLPOWERS R600: Design and workmanship
Weighing in at 5,8 kilograms, the R600 is one of those devices that can actually be easily carried with one hand. While larger power stations often resemble a portable battery case, the R600 is more like a compact toolbox.

Its dimensions of 285 × 195 × 190 millimeters ensure that it fits easily in the trunk of a car, a camper van, or under a desk. The foldable carrying handle appears sturdy and disappears completely into the casing when not in use.
Visually, ALLPOWERS also opts for a rather austere design with a lot of hard plastic. At the same time, it's robust and can withstand the occasional bump without damage. There's nothing to criticize about the workmanship.

ALLPOWERS R600: Connections, display and app
ALLPOWERS has incorporated practically everything one could wish for in this size class:
- 2x Schuko sockets with 600 watts continuous power
- 2x USB-C with 100 watt power delivery each
- 2x USB-A with up to 18 watts
- 12-volt car output
- 2x DC5525 outputs
- 15-watt Qi charging pad

The two USB-C ports are particularly noteworthy. While many manufacturers in this class only install a maximum of one 100-watt port, this device allows, for example, a MacBook and a second notebook to be charged simultaneously at full power. The USB-C ports operated completely unobtrusively, which is a compliment for charging electronics.
The two power outlets also performed well in the test. Notebook power supplies, battery chargers, coolers, and small power tools all worked without any problems. The output sine wave is clean enough for sensitive electronics and showed no abnormalities in our practical tests.
The display on the front of the casing provides a clear overview. Battery level, input and output power, and remaining runtime are easily readable even from a distance and in bright sunlight.

In addition to the display, there's an app that connects via Bluetooth, allowing you to conveniently monitor and control all parameters from your smartphone. While the app isn't quite as polished as those from EcoFlow or Bluetti, it does the job. However, due to the Bluetooth connection, you shouldn't stray more than about ten meters from the power station.
ALLPOWERS R600: Capacity and Performance
ALLPOWERS uses a battery network made of LiFePO4 cells with a capacity of 299 Wh. Depending on the output, various tests showed usable energy output ranging from 225 to just under 294 Wh. The power station achieved its best results via USB-C, while losses were naturally somewhat higher when using the 230-volt outlets.
A modern laptop can be fully charged about two to four times. Smartphones are in a different league altogether and can easily be powered for many days.

The R600 is particularly useful for typical camping applications. A compressor cool box can run for several hours, and LED lighting can even last an entire evening. Routers, cameras, drone batteries, and small monitors also won't strain the power station. However, running larger appliances like refrigerators for extended periods should be avoided.
With a continuous output of 600 watts, the R600 is particularly suitable for electronics, cool boxes, chargers, televisions, or small power tools. Its short-term peak output of up to 1.200 watts helps start devices with high inrush currents. However, high-power appliances such as kettles, coffee makers, or fan heaters are outside its intended range of use.
ALLPOWERS R600: Loading
Instead of needing to carry a power adapter and cable, the ALLPOWERS R600 only requires a standard IEC power cord. It charges surprisingly quickly with well over 300 watts and sometimes even more than 400 watts. Depending on the charging profile, the power station was fully charged again in our tests after about one to one and a half hours.
The R600 also accepts solar modules with up to 220 watts of input power via the XT60 input, but charges correspondingly slower than via the mains socket.

Of course, the high speed comes at a price, as the fans become quite audible during fast charging. Those who prefer maximum quiet can select a slower charging mode via the app. While this reduces the charging power, the R600 operates much more quietly.
