ADO Air 20S: The entry point into the Air series
The Air 20S is the entry-level model in the series. Weighing in at around 20 kilograms, it's one of the lighter folding e-bikes in its class. A carbon belt drive replaces the chain, largely eliminating the need for worn sprockets, lubricants, and regular cleaning. According to the manufacturer, up to 30.000 kilometers are possible without changing the belt.
A torque sensor measures the force applied to the pedals and adjusts the motor assistance proportionally. The 250-watt hub motor operates relatively quietly and delivers smooth acceleration in city traffic. The assistance level can be selected in three stages, and the maximum speed is 25 km/h.
The 9,6 Ah battery is designed to provide a pedal-assisted range of up to 100 kilometers in urban environments, depending on temperature, rider weight, and terrain. A simple front suspension fork improves comfort on cobblestones and uneven surfaces. Hydraulic disc brakes provide stopping power. The e-bike folds down in seconds for easy storage on trains or in car trunks.
The Air 20S is therefore particularly interesting for users who are looking for a low-maintenance compact e-bike for daily routine journeys, without a strong focus on sporting performance or long tours.
ADO Air 20 Pro: Automatic gear selection and even more driving comfort
The Air 20 Pro picks up technically where the Air 20S leaves off. A particularly striking feature is the hub motor with integrated BAFANG 2-speed automatic transmission. The gear ratio changes depending on speed and load, without the need for a shifter. Gear selection is automatic via an internal clutch. More torque is available when starting off, while the gear ratio increases at higher speeds.
In addition, it features improved front suspension with mechanical lockout and an optional range extender that increases the range from 100 to up to 160 kilometers. The 2,4-inch IPS display is IPX7-rated for rain protection and promises good readability in sunlight. The hydraulic disc brakes remain, as does the quiet carbon belt drive.
A practical detail is the new luggage rack with integrated turn signals. In the city, this improves visibility without the need for additional modules.
Regarding the Air 20 Pro offer
ADO Air 20 Ultra: Three-speed automatic transmission and reduced weight
The Air 20 Ultra is the most technically advanced folding bike in the series. Its weight drops to approximately 22 kilograms, making it significantly easier to carry up stairs or when changing public transport. The hub motor features a BAFANG 3-speed automatic transmission that more precisely differentiates between starting, city speeds, and free-rolling on level ground.
The torque sensor works closely with the three-stage automatic transmission, resulting in very smooth driving characteristics. Even long inclines can be driven without abrupt changes in power.
Range and comfort are largely the same as the Air 20 Pro, including optional range extender, hydraulic brakes, and a folding frame. For people who regularly need to carry their bike or frequently use public transport, the Ultra is the lightest option with automatic transmission.
ADO Air Carbon: Full carbon frame and GPS
The Air Carbon differs significantly from the rest of the series, both visually and technically. Instead of aluminum, it uses a full carbon frame, further reducing the overall weight (approximately 15,9 kilograms). The carbon frame appears stiff, slim, and minimalist, while the belt drive remains maintenance-free. A unique feature is the integrated IntelliTrack GPS with theft protection.
The focus is less on comfort and more on efficiency in city traffic. Those looking for a commuter bike that is as light, robust, and visually minimalist as possible will find the carbon version to be the clearly weight-optimized model.
